Inconel690 alloy is mainly a new-generation heat transfer tube
material for pressurized water reactor steam generators. Its
nickel-based alloy contains 27.0~31.0% chromium and approximately
59% nickel. The nickel-based alloy has excellent intergranular
resistance. Corrosion and resistance to intergranular stress
corrosion cracking. The materials used for heat transfer tubes of
steam generators in pressurized water reactor power stations have
gone through a development process, including 304 austenitic
stainless steel, 600 alloys, 800 alloys, and 690 alloys.
